New Deluxe Burgundy 10' Offset Patio Umbrella Off Set Outdoor Market Umbrella Review

(More customer reviews)Have had this umbrella up for a few days now and it looks very nice on our large deck. The material of the umbrella is not totally opaque, which makes me just a bit concerned it will not make it through more than one season, but we'll see. So far, the construction seems adequate, the price was certainly right, and it's doing what we wanted it to do.
I give 4 out of 5 stars for less than top of the line materials, but for the price, that seems about right.
BTW, you definitely need a plan for weighting it down. We bought one of the plastic things you fill with sand, pebbles, or water and that is working well (we used pebbles).
UPDATE: One year later, the umbrella has held up, but the stand was not long for this world. The metal of bottom part bent up on one side after a gust of wind (one of many) blew the umbrella and the weighted things I bought to rest on top of the bottom metal part totally off my deck and into the bushes. I have still not successfully found a way to keep this from happening, other than bolting the frame to our deck. I don't want to do this because the deck is only a year old and made of a really nice Brazilian hardwood, so I am about to build a heavy stand/side table that it will fit into--something that will come up about 30 inches or more and be really, really heavy. And I will bolt it to the inside bottom of that. We'll see.
If anyone has another solution, I would love to hear it...

(More customer reviews)I am not using this as a car canopy, but as a cover for my raised bed gardens. It is perfect as it keeps the deer out along with other wildlife and lets the air flow through. The only additional thing you have to buy are tent stakes for the bottom of the screen. This keeps the squirrels out too. Very roomy and would recommend this.

We left the canopy on it and within two weeks the metal corners had bent upwards, and the fabric was completely ripped to shreds. It was not repairable. We bought it in the fall but did not set it up until this spring. We are out of the warranty period of 6 months. Very disappointed.

After doing some research I decided on this Gazebo because it was the only one that stated it was "heavy duty". That statement could not be further from the truth. I purchased this item because I recently decided to sell items at various festivals and farmers markets. I used it for the first time (right out the box) at a car show and within a hour of setting it up the frame broke. I was forced to try and duct tape the broken part together to try and salvage the tent for the duration of the day. I was so embarrassed and angry with how the tent looked to perspective customers. It was completely unstable and unreliable. Now I'm stuck with out a tent for my up coming events and have to go thorough the burden of returning the item and trying to find another one. I would not order this item again or recommmend it to anyone.

(More customer reviews)For weeks I researched online and in seasonal stores to find the right shade for our screened-in porch. All the shades I found were in the $350+ range. So when I saw this shade listed on amazon for a little over $100 was nervous about the quality. But it is WONDERFUL! We love it! The quality is high-end and perfect, the mocha color looks great and it rolls up and down with ease. I was concerned about it blowing in the wind, but it comes with one clip that snaps onto the bottom of the shade (when extended) and it literally holds the entire 10ft-shade in place even with big gusts of wind. It also has two ring hooks that can be used to secure the shade from blowing in the wind -- but I haven't had to use those because the clip works perfectly.
The shade mutes the view when looking out our screen-in porch and doesn't completely block it. What I really like about the shade is that when standing in our neighbor's yard the view INTO our porch is blocked. So you can take a nice afternoon nap on your porch without the whole neighborhood watching! :-) Our porch gets direct afternoon sun which can get uncomfortably hot. I have been surprised and very pleased with how well the shade cools down the porch in the afternoon.
If I had to come up with a complaint about this shade it would only be that I wish it came in longer lengths. But the shade is such a great quality that the length is no longer an issue for us.

(More customer reviews)This canopy was easy to put up with the help of another person, and the side walls are very simple (they just velcro on), but it is not meant to be kept up for any length of time. I do keep mine up, but it fits perfectly between my house and garage and is ziptied to the fence on the third side. The stakes that are supposed to hold it in place are pretty flimsy and bend easily. It works for my needs, but then again it is not out in the open. You get what you pay for and for the price you can't expect something super sturdy. I think it will work for most people as long as you are using it when it is up and take it down as soon as you are done with it.

Getting it out of the book was another matter because the one person that I had at home that helped me move it could not touch it till I got all the packing Styrofoam out of the way because she is allergic to Styrofoam. When we finally got it all unpacked one of the side wall clips broke but everything else was fine. When we got to the festival we needed extra help to put it up not a two women job.Once we got it up we were the best tent there. In a sea of white and khaki tent this sure is beautiful. A lot easier to take down too. Wish I had pictures at the fair but was to busy painting faces all day to take any. Two of our clowning characters make it their Purple Painting Palace but for our Hillbilly char actors it's their Hillbilly Mansion. Our vacation homes at the trailer park. Oh by the way the hand on the bag it comes in broke taking it out of the box was not sewn well enough for something so heavy.

(More customer reviews)We got this shade and after getting it set up I was amazed at just how little shade this created. Really you could fit 2 chairs under it if they are really close together. Either get two of these or get the bigger size. It was also a pain to set up. It requires that you have 3 anchor points in a equilateral triangle. This made for an awkward install. I don't really recommend it unless you are really hurting for shade.
